These "designer toys" were all conceived by individual artists, have a unique style, and come in limited quantities. One of the newest, Mimobot, is certainly cool-looking, but it's also useful. Inside each of the eight different characters is a flash drive whose size ranges from 256 megabytes to one gigabyte... These computer critters feature the designs of Mexican artist Yahid Rodriguez and, at a little over two inches, they're smaller than a pack of gum. Though you'll be paying almost twice as much ($69.95 to $139.95) for these monsters as you would for a standard flash drive, the benefits are worth it. The Mimobots come with nine exclusive songs from drum-and-bass DJ DB, and feature a locking mechanism that ensures you won't lose the "top" of your flash drive. Up to 1,000 of each Mimobot will be produced, so unless you grab them soon, you'll have to wait for the next series, designed by a new set of artists.
