In memory of mimoco designer, Raluca 'Star' Mitrea, 12.5.79 - 12.10.06

A star that burned bright...

We are very saddened by the news of Raluca's passing over the weekend. She was a painter, graf artist, illustrator, photographer, graphic designer, toy artist, and so much more. She was an original talent who, during her short time with us, contributed substantially to mimoco's vision and mission to inject interactivity into the Art Toy movement. Absent these past couple months, Raluca's energetic presence, sharp wit, and boundless creativity have been sorely missed. She was a bright Star around here and we are grateful to have been blessed by her artistry and friendship. Her creations will continue to bring joy into many of our hearts.

As a gesture of thanks and to commemorate Raluca, we are raising donations to fight Cystic Fibrosis. If you're feeling generous, please send donations via Paypal to 4raluca-star@mimoco.com. Also, we are hosting an auction for a super-rare one-of-a-kind 4GB Hero from the vault (Raluca's fav mimobot ;)) on ebay. All proceeds from both funds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
