mimobot holiday trivia contest on twitter.com

We're having a holiday trivia contest on Twitter.com today, where we'll be giving away up to $780 in mimobot merchandise! That's up to 12 winners, each getting $65 gift certificates that can be used on lab.mimoco.com. Check out the rules below, and hope to see you over there!

Happy holidays from mimoco and the mimobots!

mimobot holiday trivia contest rules on Twitter.com:

    General Rules:
    1. You must "follow" mimobot on Twitter.com to be eligible for the contest. To "follow" mimobot, go to www.Twitter.com/mimobot and click the "follow" button to receive Twitter updates from mimobot in your Twitter feed. (Note: you must create or be signed into your Twitter account before you can follow other members.)
    2. Once you are a mimobot "follower", you can then eligibly respond to the trivia questions. To answer trivia questions, you must use the @ syntax to respond. For example, when responding directly to the mimobot trivia question, your answer should begin with: @mimobot (i.e, "@mimobot 42 is the answer!").
    3. All entries that do not abide by the first two rules above will be disqualified. Don't worry, you can still enter future trivia question rounds if you did not qualify based on the two rules above. Just be sure to "follow" mimobot and use the @mimobot syntax to respond for the next time.
    4. The first mimobot follower to correctly respond to the trivia question wins the prize for that round. The order of responses will be judged by the message time stamp as indicated by Twitter.
    5. If you are the winner of a round, mimobot will first send a Direct Message via Twitter as notification. Winner will also be announced publicly in the mimobot Twitter feed. Please do not Direct Message mimobot to find out if you are the winner. All winners will be notified approximately 5-30 minutes after the trivia question is answered correctly. If you are the winner, please respond to the Direct Message with your email address so that you may claim your prize.
    6. No cry babies, whiners, poor losers, party poopers, or pouters allowed. mimobot has the right to ban any member from the mimobot "follower" list.
    7. Have fun!

    Holiday Contest Rules:
    1. mimobot will pose up to twelve trivia questions between the hours of 3PM and 11:59PM Eastern time on Monday, December 24, 2007.
    2. The first of twelve trivia questions will be posed at mimobot's discretion.
    3. Up to eleven subsequent trivia questions will be presented, one question for every 12 new mimobot "followers" added beyond mimobot's baseline of 221 "followers" (i.e., when mimobot reaches 233, 245, 257, etc., "followers").
    4. The subsequent trivia questions (up to eleven questions) will be presented at mimobot's discretion anytime after a new question has been qualified for through the addition of 12 new "followers" as described above.
    5. Each trivia question will have one winner, as determined by the first to correctly respond with the answer. The winner of each trivia question round will receive a gift certificate valued at $65 US Dollars redeemable at lab.mimoco.com.
    6. All General Rules above apply.
    7. Have fun!

    Holiday Shipping Primer!

OK y'all, it's that time of year - and you KNOW that everyone on your list needs a mimobot for Hannukah/Christmas/Kwanzaa/Festivus for the Restofus. With that in mind, here's some things you need to know about holiday shipping:

From now through December 10th, we're offering free UPS Ground shipping on any order over $100 to the continental US (sorry Hawaiians, you still have to pony up shipping fees... but before you get mad at us, head on over to the beach and remember that, yes, it is snowing and sleeting in Boston. You guys in Alaska, well you got it bad both ways - sorry.).

For all you Christmas celebrators out there, here's the guaranteed shipping schedule, as provided to us by UPS:
    - 12/10 - Last day to guarantee UPS Ground delivery by the 24th (if you order after that, it still might get there - in fact, it probably will, but the guarantees are gone). Also last day to guarantee international delivery.
    - 12/19 - Last day for 2-day shipping.
    - 12/20 - Last day for overnight shipping.

The cutoff time for each of the above dates is midnight Eastern.

If delivery is not attempted by UPS on or before Dec. 24th by UPS, for any order placed according to the guaranteed cutoff dates above, we'll fully refund your delivery charge!

So have a happy non-religious-specific winter celebratory holiday, and remember - everyone loves to get a mimobot! Make sure your holiday gift says something about you!

    Free Shipping Extended Through 12/31!

Hey all, happy holidays! There's been such a great response to our free Domestic UPS Ground Shipping promotion (on orders over $100) that we've decided to extend it through the end of the year! Joy! Remember, the guarantee date for UPS Ground delivery by Christmas has passed, but if you get your orders in soon there's still a decent chance they'll make it - and for free (as long as you're in the Continental US - sorry Alaskans, but there's a Canada in your way!).

What are you waiting for? Head over to the Lab and get your holiday mimo-joy today!

And remember, Gift Certificates don't cost anything to ship anyways!
